How a wild idea became a 40-acre dream.
Our History
Starting out as a Security Policeman with the US Air Force, then mortgage banker at Lehman Brothers to a finance executive at an oil & gas company, my spouse talked me into doing something even more outrageous……build a farm from the ground up! We purchased our lovely Highland Cow heifers and 40 acres between Denver and Colorado Springs, now we just need to build out our dream. Fortunately, our uncle has graciously allowed us to keep our beautiful baby girls at his farm until we get established (don't worry, we will only be 10 minutes away). Next is the harder part, turn 40 acres of raw land into our dream that will be passed down through generations to our son. He is very excited to welcome the girls too, but as a 15 year old….this could change a few hundred times over the next year. Anyway, please follow along on our journey as we build out our dream!
Our Mission
At Shaggy Fold, our mission is to first - create a happy healthy farm for our Highland Cow babies. Making sure our 4 legged family members have the best life possible is paramount to anything else. Second, create an environment where we can share our dream with others, either through meet and greets, photo sessions, or eventually breeding.
